What we do
Every way your customers want to pay.
Most dispensaries use more than one. We’ll help you choose the mix that fits how you sell — and explain each one plainly.

Why Sprout
Payments without the gimmicks.
Dispensaries have been sold payment “solutions” that disappeared overnight — sometimes with their money in transit. Sprout was started to be the opposite.
- 01
Explained before you sign
How your transactions are processed, what customers see on their statements and what everything costs — in writing, up front.
- 02
Honest about limits
Every payment program has requirements and limitations. We explain them — and how we’d handle a change — before you sign, and you hear about changes from us first.
- 03
People who pick up
A real team for deposits, equipment, disputes and refunds — during onboarding and long after it.
Who we serve
For licensed cannabis businesses of every size, in every legal state.

Retail dispensaries
Faster lines, fewer walk-outs and less cash in the back office.

Delivery services
Orders paid before they leave, and drivers carrying less cash.

Microbusinesses
The same payment options as the big stores, sized for yours.

Multi-location operators
One partner and one set of reports across every store.
How it works
Live in three steps.
- 01
Tell us how you sell
A short call about your stores, your volume, your point-of-sale system and whether you deliver.
- 02
Get it in writing
A clear proposal: how each option works, the equipment and every cost. Take your time.
- 03
Go live, with support
We help with the application, set up equipment, train your team and stay on call.
Dispensary ATMs
Keep cash customers in the store.
Every customer who leaves to find an ATM might not come back. We install one in your store and handle the loading, maintenance and repairs — at no cost to your dispensary. It can even carry your brand and promotions.

Questions
Common questions.
Can dispensaries accept card payments?
Yes. Many licensed dispensaries and delivery services accept debit cards, and some accept credit cards. Cannabis’s federal status is changing — since April 2026, state-licensed medical marijuana is in Schedule III while adult-use cannabis remains in Schedule I pending a separate federal review — and banks and card networks still set their own rules for cannabis transactions. That’s why the structure behind a payment solution matters. We explain ours in writing before you sign.
Is Sprout a “cashless ATM” provider?
No. Cashless ATM setups run a purchase as an ATM withdrawal, and card networks have shut them down repeatedly — sometimes overnight. We don’t sell setups that depend on a workaround staying unnoticed. See cashless ATM alternatives.
What does a Sprout ATM cost my dispensary?
Nothing. We supply the machine, installation, cash, connectivity, maintenance and repairs at no cost to your dispensary. Customers pay a convenience fee shown on screen before they confirm a withdrawal, and they can cancel at no charge.
Which states do you serve?
All of them. We work with licensed cannabis businesses in every state with a legal cannabis market, medical or adult-use. State rules differ, so we walk you through what applies where you operate.
What does it cost?
It depends on your volume, how you sell and which services you use. Every rate and fee is laid out in writing before you sign, including any fee shown to customers, so you can compare us fairly with anyone else.
Who does Sprout work with?
Licensed cannabis businesses: retail dispensaries, delivery services, microbusinesses and multi-location operators. You’ll need to hold a valid state license to use our services.
Can you help with banking?
We don’t provide bank accounts ourselves, but we know how hard it is to find and keep one in this industry. Our cannabis banking guide explains your options, and where it helps, we can introduce clients to cannabis-friendly banks.
